Introduction
What is FrontPage? FrontPage is authoring and publishing software that
makes it easy for you to create and maintain world wide web pages. FrontPage
is used in much the same way that you use a word processor: you concentrate
on the content of the pages--the text, images, and links you might want--and
FrontPage takes care of the computer code necessary to create what you
want.
Accessing Microsoft FrontPage2000
From the Start Menu go to Programs. Another menu will pop up, and it
is in this new menu that you will find Microsoft FrontPage. The icon
for FrontPage looks like this: 
Select to launch the application. You can find this same
icon on most of our computers down by the start button:

Opening a FrontPage2000 Web
If you are working on a website and want to work on it from FrontPage
you can do that by opening up the site directly from FrontPage. Under
file menu choose Open Web. In the Folder name field type in your web
site (In the form of http://www.yourpage.com). If you have a password
and user name for your web site then you will be prompted to enter it.
Writing Text
Adding text to you web page is as simple as putting the cursor at the
beginning of the page and starting to type. There are many different
tools and options for you to use to make your web page more to your
preference.
Menu Bar - (on the very top where it says file:edit: view: insert:
etc) this contains all the tools and functions of the program.
Tool Bar -(right below) this contains only some of the tools
and functions that the application is capable of. The toolbar buttons
make it easier to select tools and perform operations; the purpose of
the toolbar is for easy access. The functions of these buttons will
appear when you point to them for a few seconds with your mouse arrow.
Format Bar - this bar allows you to change the style of the text
layout.
