Intern Activities:

Interns will provide teaching instruction to students in the following areas: keyboarding, introduction to computers, web based email, and introduction to the internet. Classes are offered in Spanish and English. Being bilingual is helpful but not necessary. Interns will provide individual, small group, and/or classroom instruction.

Interns will work closely with the Curriculum/Workshop Coordinator to create new workshops and curriculum focused on technology. They will also have the opportunity to implement the new curriculum in a classroom setting, small groups or 1-on-1 training.

Interns will also continue the work on revising the skills manual, originally created by a previous intern.

a) Learn FrontPage.
b) Identify the skill sets people need to use Frontpage and prepare a manual for them.
c) Write a paper on my experiences learning and teaching it, and working here overall.
d) Keep a journal of the day to day occurrences.
